We have had a fantastic day! Everyone came to school dressed as a favourite story character. The Year 6 class went to the Lower School to read books with the Key Stage 1 children. We also put our favourite books in a jar! If you’d like to see the winners, they are now on display in Consett Library.
Thank you to everyone who came to our sports day events!
Hannabiell and Midnight Blue performed on both school sites. We listened to a saxophone, trombone, tuba, guitar, electric guitar and drums, and joined in the dancing.
Leadgate Primary School celebrated Halloween at lunch time. At the Lower School, our cooks dressed up especially for the occasion and the children loved their Halloween display.
Lexi (Reception) noticed “The fruit is all Halloween stuff, and it’s got webs on.”
Daniel (Reception) said “A banana is a mummy. It’s got bandages on it.”
Grace (Year 1) was surprised: “Ah! A vampire! It’s an orange really!”
Lucas (Year 1) thought that “The pumpkin’s turned into a witch.”
A very special thank you to Mr Baker who won this new sport kit for our school.
Thank you to all of the dads and granddads who came to our picnic. We had a lovely time despite the bad weather!
The Year 6 children made their own French games and Powerpoint presentations and invited the Year 1 children to a French Café. Please view our slideshow in the Gallery!
Our Nursery children had a really good time at the farm. They stroked the guinea pigs and rabbits, held a chick, fed the sheep and goats, and gave a lamb a drink of milk. It was funny when a llama tried to chase the tractor!
Thank you to all of the parents who went along to help. (Please visit the Nursery gallery to see more images).
The Reception class enjoyed exploring at Gibside despite the cold weather!
